Hey peeps, I am so very very very sorry that I have been missing in action for a while but I have been kinda busy with other stuff, you know. Anyway, thanks to those who asked 'how far' ...lol and those who still tried to drop by to know if anything new is up.
Someone sent me this video - a lot of you may have seen it already but I'm just seeing it and it shocked me ...straight to my blog. If this is really true, then it has to be one of the craziest thing I have seen yet. The voice over is in one of the local Nigerian languages - 'Ibo' - but basically, what the reporter (I assume its a reporter) is saying is this:
the bodies in the video are of young Nigerian boys crossing the deserts in places like Niger and Morocco in order to reach places like Spain ....Europe really. They are in search of the supposedly better life and people tell them they can cross these deserts which share boundaries with these European countries. The voice says that these boys, usually put in groups of about 50, are shown maps which make the journey appear easy --- crazy, right? The gist is that they run out of water and even start to drink their urine. When they run out, the hot desert sun finishes them off and the rest is what you see... Its horrible. The voice says that the video is really to warn people of the dangers of making such trips as very few survive - less than 10% of them. I don't know how the reporters knows they are Nigerian for sure because he states that they are without real ID's, or even the real origin of this video, but thought it was worth sharing.
Is this really true, I wonder? Hmmmm...

this is so pathetic. how can these boys take such risks just to go to a country that is working hard to fight off immigrants? someone i know tried this and he came back home alive, thank God but with horror stories of how border patrol chased them with hungry and very big dogs. many lost thier lives in the chase. he even said when they were eventually caught, they put them in what looked like dog cages until they were eturned back to the country. its just ridiculous. I blame the govt though. if things were okay here, no one will want to leave
