"When I met my husband’s cousin for the first
time, she twisted her lips into a sneer and stared at me disappointingly.
Turning to her sister, she said, ‘What was all the fuss about? I thought you
guys said she was very pretty.’ Shaking her head, she continued, ‘I don’t know
what I was expecting.’ She said all this while standing in front of me and
without responding to my greetings. And till today, we’ve never really said hi
to each other because I just don’t know how to relate to someone who was
crushed with disappointment over my average looks."
