“Ever since I was a child, all I wanted was my
own family – a husband and four beautiful children. Anytime I said a prayer, I would
make sure to include my desire in it, hoping that God paid attention.
It’s been over twenty years since I started
saying that prayer and nothing has happened. I’ve done many prayers, novenas,
devotions and prayer vigils – all to no avail. I’ve stayed true to my faith in
God and never failed to do good works of charity at every opportunity. Yet, I’ve
stayed disappointed as my expectations remain unmet.
I’m not the only one facing this situation. It’s
the same with many people I know – male and female. Despite their dedication to
God and their commitment to all things good, they stay unfulfilled in the
things most important to them. They don’t have the jobs or businesses they
desire, the children they desperately want; they lose family members so young
and their worlds get devastated in ways that are beyond normal human
understanding. So, I have found myself asking the question – ‘does prayer
always work?’” I don’t know but I still stay committed.

Prayers are answered
rayers are answered. Most times we have to look beyond a myoptic fatalistic view of devine favours. Marriage, husband, wife, children are all adornment of the world hence we need to look inward to see what is blocking our requests (prayers). Lastly, we should always take solace in the fact, though we dont know what the future holds, surely we know who holds the future and He will answer all prayers.
yes but i think the answers don't always come the way we want or expect. It is not always that what we pray for is in our best interest so i believe that God does what is in our best interest which may not necessarily be what we want at the time
I BELIEVE PRAYERS WORK, BUT THE WAY IT'S WORK IS BEYOND HUMAN COMPHENSION.I HAVE BEEN ON PRAYER FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS TO GET A GOOD JOB SINCE I LOST MY DREAM JOB.THOUGH I DO GET SOME JOBS; BUT NOT DESIRED ONE, BUT I STILL BELIEVE GOD WOULD DO IT; AND I WAS MADE TO BELIEVE THAT ALL MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN GOING TO OTHER ASPECT OF MY LIFE THAT NEEDS "REPAIR".
