I don’t think searching for a missing car under other cars is ridiculous anymore

My type of corolla. It's not much but it served me well *sigh*

“I’ve heard stories of people searching for their stolen cars under other cars and it’s always amused me to hear such ……….until it happened to me.

Less than four months ago, I had travelled to one of the eastern states for a burial and during the church service, I parked my car in front of the church. About an hour later, we came out and behold, my car was gone. At first, I was confused but slowly, it dawned on me that something was wrong. I started searching – under other cars, inside the gutter and in fact, at a point, I think I entered a makeshift stall at the corner to check. It was not funny then but now, it is pretty funny.

I reported the theft at the police station but was told not to have any great expectations as certain brands of cars like my Toyota Corolla were hot black market property because of how easily their parts sold.  Just like that, I lost a car that served me well.

So now, when I hear about owners of stolen cars searching for them in gutters or under other cars, I laugh but with more understanding.”
